Rosacea is a chronic infl ammatory skin disease that clinically presents with erythema, papules, pustules, teleangiectasias, and, in more severe cases, phymatous changes and ocular involvement. Its development is infl uenced by a complex interplay between the immune and nervous systems, as well as environmental factors such as UV radiation. Treatment is individually tailored based on the clinical phenotype and includes topical and systemic agents, such as metronidazole, ivermectin, and doxycycline. Newer options, including foambased minocycline, have also emerged. Promising therapeutic approaches are currently under development. A holistic approach is essential, incorporating trigger avoidance, lifestyle modifi cations, and psychological support when needed. Early recognition and timely treatment signifi cantly infl uence disease progression and improve patients’ quality of life.
