One of the goals in the development of Slovenian Electronic Archives in the e-ARH.si project is to enable access to archival records for vulnerable groups through modern technologies. Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) for making archival records available to vulnerable groups were taken into account in the designing of a virtual archival reading room, which is not sufficient, as archival records must be prepared or adapted for use by vulnerable groups beforehand. Legislation is also being encouraged by this goal, which places an increasing emphasis on accessibility for vulnerable groups. In December in 2017, a draft of the Act on Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications was issued for the public discussion. The purpose of the law is to provide websites and mobile applications of the bodies of the public sector in the Republic of Slovenia more accessible for users, especially for disabled users. The authors present the various techniques and methods that can make the archival records accessible to vulnerable groups as well.
