Johann Georg Heptner's Ljubljana Printing Press

Johann Georg Heptner (1724–1764) took over the printing press of Adam Friderik Reichardt's widow, Anna Elizabeta in 1759. In 1761 he married Maria Theresa Gersoni. After his death, she led the company until the end of 1764, and in 1765 she married the printer Johann Friderick Eger. Heptner's prints were predominantly religious but he also printed official state publications, occasional prints and reports of the Ljubljana Jesuit College. In 1765, Pohlin's Abecedika was issued under his name.

The collection comprises a selection of Heptner's prints from the National and University Library, and the Jože Udovič Public Library in Cerknica that were suitable for the digitization process.
