The t-test was employed to compare the means of independent samples. Association analyses were performed to establish statistically significant correlation between individual variables. Spearmanćs technique was selected for calculation of a correlation coefficient for ordinal data. Results: Age (rS = 0,196, p = 0,046), mobility (rS = 0,335, p = 0,001), relations within the family (rS = 0,367, p = 0,000) and neighbour relations (rS = 0,351, p = 0,000) are statistically connected to loneliness. The correlation between the factors shows a statistically significant correlation between family relationships and frequency of visits to the elderly (rS = 0,239, p = 0,015) and the relations within the family and neighbor relations (rS = 0,297, p = 0,002).
