D." je prinesla masten ocvirek, da bo na prihodnji konvenciji S N P J hud "boj med staro gardo socijali-stov in naprednjaki" in da bo "stara garda skušala vreči urednika Moleka in bo imela svojega kandidata za urednika", "zmerna struja" pa tudi "išče primernega kandidata za urednika". To pokazuje, da "A. D." in njeni prijatelji gojijo pobožno željo, da bi stara garda znorela ter izvršila samomor. Toda, če se ne motim — in mislim, da se ne —, bo ostalo zgolj pri "pobožni želji". Prepričan sem namreč, da je omenjena "stara garda" še zmerom pri zdravi pameti. "Zmerneži" (kaj je pa pod tem pokrovom?) bodo pa imeli zelo težavno in nehvaležno delo, če bodo res iskali "primernega kandidata" proti sedanjemu uredniku "Prosvete". Težave povzroča dejstvo, da ameriški Slovenci nimajo nobenega zelj-nika, na katerem bi rastli zmožni uredniki. Kar jih imamo, so vsi uposleni, dobri m slabi. In Andrej Kobal ima svojo profe-suro. Tudi bi moral biti "primeren kandidat" boljši od sedanjega urednika, da bi imel sploh kak izgled na zmago. Takega pa ni na razpolago. Torej bo žal-tava, če kdo res išče "primernega kandidata" . . . P. Hugo je tudi proti gibanju za legaliziranje"umorov iz usmiljenja" (g. Obe sestri pozdravita in gresta z Rosvito proti samostanu. Rosvita je hotela začeti z njima pogovor, dobivala pa je popolnoma kratke odgovore. Spraševala je o vsem, k,f,r ja je zanimalo, toda sestri sta mesto odgovora le zmajali z rameni. Nista jo niti pogledali in ko ju je hotela Rosvita prijeti za roko, sta skrili roke pod svojo kuto. Kako sta neumni, — pomisli Rosvita, — še vedno se bojita gobavosti. Naposled so dospele v samostan. Sestra Rosvita, — reče ena izmed spremljevalk, — predstojnica nama je ukazala, da vas takoj odvedeta k njej.
