States Forces ; NOM', THEREFORE, J, RIDGELY GAITHER, Brigadier General U. S. Army, Director General. Civil Affairs. ORDER: ARTICLE I REDESIGNATION OF .. OSSERVATORIO DI FITOPATOLOGIA ' The Observatory for Agrarian and Forest Pathology (O. O. F.) shall hereafter be known and designated as the Agriculture and Forestry Experimentation Center. ARTICLE II EXTENSION OF FUNCTIONS Section 1. — Authority is hereby granted to the Office of Agriculture and Fisheries to establish such additional stations within the Experimentation Center as may be deemed necessary for the conduct of experiments and study leading to constructive improvements in the field of Agriculture and Forestry. Section 2. — All experimental stations shall be under the direction of a managing director who shall establish liaison with all operating stations within the center and who shall be directly responsible to the Agriculture and Fisheries Officer of Allied Military Government. ARTICLE III APPOINTMENT OF MANAGING DIRECTOR The Agriculture and Fisheries Officer shall appoint the Managing Director of the Experimental Center. The said Managing Director may also be the Director of one of the stations in the Center. FINANCING AND BUDGET The present existing provisions relating to the financing and budget for the „Osservatorio di .Fitopatología“ shall be applicable to the Experimentation Center. ARTICLE V EFFECTIVE DATE This Order shall become effective on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. Dated at TRIESTE, this 18th day of February 1948. Civil Affairs Order No. 162 INCREASE OF HUNTING FINES WHEREAS the present existing hunting fines are inadequate and do not act as a deterrent to violators, and. WHEREAS it is considered advisable to amend Consolidated Text for hunting laws, R. V. 5 June 1939, No. 1016, as amended, NOW, THEREFORE, I, RIDGELY GAITHER. Brigadier General, U. S. No. 1016 dated 5 June 1939 as amended, pertaining to hunting fines, be further amended so as to increase the present maximum fines authorized, to 30 times that in force in the decree enacted in. 1939. Army Director General, Civil Affairs Order No. 163 HUNTING LICENSES EXPIRATION DATE WHEREAS it is deemed advisable to amend and extend, the expiration dates of hunting licences in that part of the Free Territory of Trieste occupied by the British United States Forces (hereinafter referred to as the „Zone“) SOW, THEREFORE, I. Army Director General, Civil Affairs Order No. 186 ADOPTION OF DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME WHEREAS, it is considered useful and necessary to adopt daylight saving time in that part of the Free Territory of Trieste administered by the British-United States Forces, (hereinafter referred to as the ,,Zohe“), NOW, THEREFORE, I, RIDGELY GAITHER, Brigadier General U. S. Army, Director General, Civil Affairs, ORDER: ARTICLE I ADOPTION OF DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME As of 0100 hours 29 February 1948 daylight saving time shall be put into effect in the Zone. ARTICLE II I AMENDMENTS TO ORDERS 138 AND 140 The date „1st March 1948“ including the effective date appearing in Orders No.s 138 and 140, dated 14 February 1948, is hereby deleted and substituted by the date „1 April 1948.“ ARTICLE III EFFECTIVE DATE This Order shall become effective on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
