Troedinost v Bogu
Božja beseda izbrana za praznik Svete | Trojice želi preko neposrednega pomena ali preko tradicionalnih razlag svojih treh strani osvetliti skrivnost Boga, ki je občestvo življenja in ljubezni.
Prvo berilo vsebuje slavno »lastno hvalnico«, kakor jo imenuje Knjiga pregovorov. V modrostni literaturi pogosto naletimo na poosebitev »Božja Modrost«: je božja in tako presegajoča ne le zato, ker| je načrt božjega uma, ampak tudi ker je utelešena in se kot načrt uresničuje v stvarstvu, volja se razodeva v Postavi, Beseda se razodeva v Svetem pismu, Duh pa se izliva v človeka.
Modrost se predstavi tudi kot neko ustvarjeno resničnost; modrost je navzoča tudi v človeku, v njegovi zmožnosti umevanja, v njegovi sreči. Hebrejsko beseda lahko pomeni »ustvariti«, »roditi« in »pridobiti-posedovati«. Seveda so vsi pomeni hkrati točni, vendar samo, če upoštevamo pomenske odtenke pojma Modrost. lz teh razlogov naš spev v krščanski interpretaciji postane himna utelešeni Besedi: Bog Oče, Sin in Sveti Duh naj bi bili tako »skriti« v tej hvalnici božji stvariteljski modrosti.
Ista trinitarična razsežnost je navzoča na dveh naslednjih straneh lekcio-narja, ki sta jih napisala dva največja novozavezna teologa, Pavel in Janez. Pismo Rimljanom se začne z izrecno izjavo: opravičenje iz vere nas postavlja v občestvo življenja in ljubezni (»mir«) z »Bogom Očetom po našem Gospodu Jezusu Kristusu ..., ker je Božja ljubezen izlita v naša srca po Svetem Duhu« (5,1 in 5). V tej trinitarični luči Pavel slavi brezmejno veselje vere, ki krepi pričakovanje končnega in popolnega odrešenja v božjo slavo. Kajti Gospod sam »mi je
rekel: 'Dovolj ti je moja milost. Moč se krepi v slabotnosti.' Zato se bom zelo rad ponašal s svojo šibkostjo, da bi se v meni naselila Kristusova moč» (2 Kor 12,9).Veselje vere podpira božja ljubezen, ki je v obilju izlita v naša srca po Svetem Duhu. Obljuba Svetega Duha, o kateri beremo v današnjem Janezovem evangeliju je povezana z drugo obljubo, dano prav v poslovilnem govoru na zadnji Jezusov večer med ljudmi. Ni naloga Svetega Duha, da bi dal kako novo razodetje, ampak nas mora pripeljati k polnemu razumevanju osebe in sporočila vstalega Kristusa. Duh torej »vodi« k Jezusovi »resnici«, tako da bi jo osvojili v polnosti. Ta vloga Svetega Duha v odnosu do Jezusa in njegove besede, opredeljuje globoko povezanost med Očetom, Sinom in Duhom: razodetje je popolnoma eno, ker ima svoj izvor v Očetu, Jezus ga udejanji, Sveti Duh pa izpopolni v svoji razlagi. Zaradi tega Jezus trikrat ponovi, da Sveti Duh »ne bo govoril sam od sebe«; »iz mojega bo jemal in vam oznanjal«.
Jezus ostaja vedno edini, ki razodeva Očeta, Duh resnice pa stori, da razodetje v polnosti prodre v srca ljudi. Navsezadnje: Tolažnika pošilja Oče tako kot Jezusa samega. V oznanjevanju in razlaganju Cerkvi tega, kar je Jezusovega, Tolažnik v resnici razlaga Cerkvi Očeta, kajti Oče in Jezus imata vse skupno.
»Pozneje bodo vzhodni in zahodni teologi razpravljali v teologiji o Trojici: Ali Duh izhaja samo iz Očeta ali iz Očeta in Sina. V Janezovi misli bi bilo nemogoče, da bi Tolažnik imel kaj od Jezusa in ne od Očeta, toda vse, kar ima za ljudi, je Jezusovo« (R. E. Brown). (Prim. Oznanjevalec 2004)

KATEDRALA - OBLETNICE POROK:
Vsako leto škofija povabi vse pare, ki obhajajo okrogle obletnice (25, 40, 50, 60 in več), da se skupaj s škofom pri sveti maši zahvalijo za leta preživeta v zakonu, obnovijo svojo obljubo zvestobe in prejmejo božji blagoslov, da bi lahko še naprej vztrajali na skupni poti.
V nedeljo, 9. junija 2019, ob 1:30 je sveto mašo vodil hamiltonski škof Douglas Crosby. Slavja so se udeležili štirje naši pari. Iz naše župnije sta bila Marija in Toni Franc, ki sta praznovala 60-letnico poroke. Na spodnji sliki pa so pari, ki so praznovali 25 let poroke. Od leve proti desni so: Peter in Linda Novak, Elizabeth in Boris Lukežič, škof Douglas Crosby, Frances in Donato Scarcelli, Julie in John Letnik.
Čestitke parom za njihovo obletnico poroke, na jim tudi to praznovanja pomaga na njihovi življenjski poti, da bo še več razumevanja in medsebojne ljubezni.

DRUŠTVO TRIGLAV - LONDON - MAŠA IN PROCESIJA
V nedeljo, 9. junija smo imeli zadnjo maše pred počitnicami s člani društva Triglav. Ker od konca parila nimajo več dvorane, smo imeli sveto mašo v cerkvi st. John the divine. Navadno smo imeli to nedeljo pri dvorani, poleg maše, tudi procesijo sv. Rešnjega Telesa. Tokrat smo jo naredili kar v cerkvi. Pri treh svetnikih so postavili mizice in jih okrasili. Tako smo po končani maši samo sodelavci šli od oltarja do oltarja, ostali pa so se samo obrnili prosti postaji, kar je bilo lažje za tiste, ki težko hodijo. Gabriella nas je spremljala na klavirju, tako, da je bila maša in procesija nadvse slovesno doživeta. Po končani maši in procesiji smo se z nekaterimi odpravili še na skupno večerjo v samopostrežno restavracijo Mandarin. Ugotovili smo, da sta v naši sredi dva slavljenca: Ančka Kotnjek in Drago Kvas in smo njima še zapeli, strežnik pa njima je prinesel tor-tico s svečko; poslikali so ju in njima prinesli sliko za spomin. Tako prijetno je bilo, da so se vsi strinjali, da bi lahko to še kdaj ponovili.	.	.. __

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd - Level 1 Foundations Course Certificate program is

SLOVENSKI DAN - AVTOBUS
St. Joseph Society is in the process of organizing a coach bus for Saturday, June 22, to celebrate 2019 Slovenski Dan at this year's host club Sava Breslau. In order to sponsor the bus, we need to fill it with at least 30 people.
The bus would leave from St. Gregory's at 10:30 a.m. sharp, and leave from Sava at about 7:00 p.m. The cost per person: $13 for the bus plus $12 entrance = $25

MASSES in THE SUMMER: 10:00 a.m.
From Sunday, June 23rd until September 1st, Sunday Masses are only at 10:00 a.m.
This year we start with 10:00 a.m. Masses earlier because on June 23rd is the fist of Corpus Christi and after the Mass it will be procession with the three altars. We will start at the statue of Mary Help of Christian.
When I will be in Slovenija, for vacations and yearly retreat (July 1st to July 31st), Fr. Marjan Lamovsek from Rakovnik-Slovenija, will replace me in the parish.

The hymn "Spirit of God in the Clear Running Water" was very popular in the 1960s and 1970s, particularly in schools. It spoke of the living presence of God in creation - in the trees, in the sunrise, in the rainclouds. It also spoke of that same Spirit in every person. Those young people who loved the hymn were helped to grow in appreciation of God's creation and to see God's presence in all people and in the natural world.
This hymn about the Holy Spirit was written by Medical Mission Sister Miriam Therese Winter in 1965 and she described it as being linked to the "liturgy of life". As a young nun, she fulfilled her dream of administering medical care in three continents, especially in poor communities. But

during her travels she developed a new dream, that of spreading care and love through song rather than medicine. She said: "The soul of the universe is divinity present everywhere and in everything, in you and me, in friend and foe, and in all who share our sacred space on our hallowed planet." She appreciated the whole living community of God's creatures, understanding that humanity is interconnected with all living things. Her music is a contribution towards recognising the various aspects of God. Father, Son and Holy Spirit are Creator, Redeemer and Sustainer. They teach us about love, gratitude and hope. The Creator, Redeemer and Sustainer God nurtures anyone willing to build their lives on love and help bring about a more just, fruitful and peace-filled society.
Gospel Teaching
On Trinity Sunday we celebrate our common divine origin - children of God with one shared life in the Holy Spirit. All the readings highlight God's presence in the world from its beginning. The Trinity holds all things together. The parts are all aspects of the same God - God as the maker of all things, God before us and over us; God incarnate as Jesus Christ, fully human, fully divine, God beside us; and the mutual love and wisdom that is God the Holy Spirit, breathed into our very lives and into all creation. In the Trinity there is no hierarchy, only mutual love and harmony.
One ancient shape used to bring to mind the nature of God is three intertwined circles or trefoil. A circle has no beginning and no end, and its never-ending form represents God as eternal. The trefoil symbol was used by St Patrick when he illustrated the Trinity by pointing to a shamrock and remarking that it had the three separate leaves yet formed one shamrock. The three per-
sons of the Trinity are also sometimes presented as being engaged in a joyful dance. We can try to get in step with the divine dance, and appreciate the lasting presence of Jesus in our lives and in the natural world through the Holy Spirit. We pray during our Eucharist to be filled with the Holy Spirit so that we may become one in body and spirit. The Holy Spirit connects us all to each other and to the natural world.
Application
Our natural environment is one of the greatest examples we have of God's power. God's creation is a precious and holy resource. God's spirit is in all that lives. And yet the beauty and diversity of our God-given creation is being diminished as millions suffer desperate poverty, creatures go extinct, our earth's climate is heating up because of human activity and waters are polluted. We have a responsibility to ensure that the world is a place that can sustain all of God's people into the future and we are called to appreciate our interconnections with the rest of creation. Pope Francis called for this in his 2015 encyclical Laudato Si', where he urged human society "to hear the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor".
As we approach midsummer in the northern hemipshere, this is a good time to enjoy green spaces and urge children to appreciate the life in the grass, plants and hedges. Let us appreciate the fertility of soil, the joy in birdsong and see the Spirit of God at work in creation, especially in all new life. May we support action to protect vulnerable communities and natural resources. The Church has Caritas agencies, peace organisations and environmental initiatives that can help us to do this. In one of her prayers, Miriam Therese Winter says: "Come, Creator Spirit! Come, Soul of the Universe! Come, Source of all that lives! Come, live in us! Amen!"

Pevske vaje za mešani pevski zbor so še ta teden vaje v četrtek, po večerni maši. Zbor poje v soboto, 22. junija v Breslavu na Slovenskem dnevu. Maša bo ob 12:00h.
