A., Trieste - 1952 ALLIED MILITARY GOVERNMENT British - United States Zone-Free Territory of Trieste Order No. 178 INTEGRATIONS TO THE REGULATIONS FOR THE POLICE, SAFETY AND REGULARITY OF THE OPERATION OF RAILWAYS WHEREAS it is deemed advisable to integrate art. 54 of the Regulations for the police, safety and regularity of the operation of railways, as approved by R. D. 31 October 1873, No. 1687, in that part of the Free Territory of Trieste administered by the British-United States Forces, NOW, THEREFORE, I, SIR JOHN WINTERTON, KOMG, CB, CBE, Major General, Zone Commander, ORDER: ARTICLE I The following paragraphs are hereby added to art. 54 of the Regulations for the police, safety and regularity of the operation of railways, as approved by R. D. 31 October 1873, No. 1687 : „ It shall be moreover prohibited to install and maintain on buildings, roads or „other installations dazzling lights visible from the rail-road, whether coloured or white, „which, in the opinion of the competent Administration (State Railways for lines in „any way operated by same and „Ispettorato della motorizzazione civile e dei trasporti „in concessions“ for railways under concession), might be confused with railway-signals „or in any way hinder the exact understanding of the latter. „ Luminous sources already installed which, due to their particular location and „to their characteristics, are to be considered as subject to the prohibition set forth in „the foregoing paragraph, must be removed by those using said sources or by the owners „of the buildings whereupon they are placed or by those directly responsible for the „installation ; the removal shall be carried out with care and at the expense of such parties „if contrary to the foregoing legislative provisions, after warning by the competent „Railway Administration ; same removal must be effected within 60 days from the date „on which the warning is made known to the party concerned. „ If the luminous sources in question aré located on public roads, to be used for „public lighting, the competent Railway Administration shall, before giving any warning, „make arrangements on the matter with that public Administration which the road „belongs to. Gazette — Vol. V, No. 31 11 November 1952 553 Order No. 179 INCREASE IN FAMILY ALLOWANCES FOR PROFESSIONAL JOURNALISTS EMPLOYED WITH PUBLISHING ENTERPRISES WHEREAS it is deemed advisable to increase the family allowances for professional journalists employed with publishing enterprises, in that part of the Free Territory of Trieste administered by the British, United States Forces, NOW, THEREFORE, I, SIR JOHN WINTERTON, KGMG, CB, CBE, Major General, Zone Commander, ORDER: • ARTICLE I Section 1. — The family allowances for professional journalists employed with publishing -nterprises are hereby increased as follows : 3120 Lire monthly for each child ; 1820 Lire monthly for the spouse ; 1313 Lire monthly for each parent. Section 2. — The relative quota.-share of contribution shall be established at the rate of 55 percent of the gross earnings up to a maximum limit of 6250 Lire per month. Section 3. — The rate of family allowances and of the pertinent contribution as set forth in the foregoing Sections shall be inclusive of the family allowances for „caropane“ and of the pertinent contributions established by Order No. 347, dated 28 September 1948. ARTICLE II Besides the contribution set forth in the foregoing Article hereof there shall be due an additional Contribution at the rate of 5 percent, of the contribution, until the deficit resulting from the management of family allowances for professional journalists is cleared. ARTICLE III This Order shall become effective on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette and shall be operative as from 1 July 1951. Dated at TRIESTE, this 8th day of November 1952. BRADFORD, Major General, Acting Zone Commander, ORDER: 1. Dr. Aldo FALZEA („aggiunto giudiziario“) is hereby appointed as judge at the Tribunal of Trieste, with effect from 31 October 1952. 2.
