Skrbinška v Mb. je prišel 1930 v igralski zbor mb. D. Tu je ostal do apr. 1941, ko seje moral umakniti v Lj. Na odru D SNG je igral do 1945, ko je odšel v Trst. Tam je bil eden stebrov sloven, ansambla in vodilni karakterni igralec. Spočetka se je v Mb. uveljavljal v vlogah ljubimcev in mladih junakov, nato pa je igral vedno izrazitejše karakterne vloge. Nastopal je tudi v Ot. Razvoj je nadaljeval v Lj. in dosegel višek v Trstu. Nakrst igra v rad. igrah R Trst predvsem karakterne, pa tudi komične vloge, m. dr. je bil Kreon (Sofokles Antigona), Grabtree (Sheridan Šola za obrekovanje), Vojvoda Alba (Schiller Don Carlos), Claudio (Musset Njene Muhe), Baron (Gorki Na dnu), Zdravnik (Josip Tavčar Klinika za živčne čudeže). Having attended acting classes of Bratina, Pregare and M. Skrbinšek in Maribor, he joined, in 1930, the theatrical company of the Drama. He stayed there until 1941 when he was compelled to leave for Ljubljana. He acted upon the D SNG stage all until 1945 when he left for Triest. There he became one of the “pillars” of Slovene ensemble and leading character actor. At first he was assuming — in Maribor — the roles of lovers and young heroes, to be succeeded, later on, by more distinct character roles. He also worked with Ot. His career then continued in Lj. and achieved its peak in Triest. Twice he was awarded by First-May Prize “ZDUS" as well as the Borštnik Prize. As a character actor he played several roles in artistic films too, such as Tri četrtine sonca (Three Quarters of the Sun), Veselica (The Party) and Ples v dežju (Dance in the Rain). V.S. Nakrst was fond of performing in R Triest plays — character but also comic roles — among others Creon (Sophocles Antigone), Grabtrcc (Sheridan School for Scandal), Duke of Alba (Schiller Don Carlos), Claudio (Musset Ses caprices), Baron (Gorki At the Bottom), Doctor Josip Tavčar Klinika za živčne čudeže.
