DEAR PARENTS, DEAR TEACHERS, DEAR SLOVENIAN YOUTH! Looking through this Active Language Program, I am pleased to see something like this being initiated. As a teacher of the Slovenian language for many years, I have seen the need for such a publication. For a long time it has also been my wish for this to happen... And now, here it isl I am greatly honoured to recommend the work done by these three enthusiastic Slovenian Teachers, who given all the Australian born Slovenians an opportunity to extend their knowledge of the Slovenian language, which came from our homeland across the ocean, under Triglav. As young Slovenian born teachers, they also saw the need for such an Active Language Program. That is why they have prepared the Program: "LET'S LEARN SLOVENIAN - Part 1". The Program is not only for the Australian born Slovenians, but also for those, who would like to learn the Slovenian language. The Program is written in Slovenian and English. It also includes illustrations, which will help young children understand the language with ease and have fun colouring in their world. It will be helpful as a learning aid, a textbook and a teaching aid for parents and teachers who wish to encourage, deepen, save and develop that which is most precious to us all - the mother language.
