Keywords: Plecoptera, Perlidae, N. siveci Zwick, replacement name, Neoperla ignacsiveci nom nov. INTRODUCTION Li and Li (2013) described N. siveci as a new species of Neoperla from Taiwan. The name was created in honor of Dr. Ignac Sivec for his great contributions in stonefly research. However, recently it was discovered to be junior homonym of N. siveci Zwick, 1980 in Zwick & Sivec (1980), established earlier also in honor of Dr. I. Sivec. Thus, a replacement name, Neoperla ignacsiveci, nom. nov., is established for this species. The type material is deposited in the China Agricultural University Entomological Museum (CAU), Beijing, China, and the Henan Institute of Science and Technology Insect Collection (HIST), Xinxiang, China, as indicated in the text. Neoperla ignacsiveci nom nov. Neoperla siveci Li and Li 2013: 75. Preoccupied by N. siveci Zwick 1980 in Zwick & Sivec, 1980:125. ACKNOWLEDGMENTS We are very indebted to Dr. R. Edward DeWalt (Champaign, Illinois) for pointing out the present homonym. REFERENCES Li, W.H. and X.P., Li. 2013. A new species of the genus Neoperla (Plecoptera: Perlidae) from China.
