Bil je zaposlen v Centru za kontrolo kakovosti in preverjanje znanja pod okriljem Ministrstva za šolstvo, mlade in znanost v Bolgari­ ji, kjer je bil zadolžen za področje psihometrije in analiz nacionalnih pre­ verjanj znanj. Od leta 2008 je bil zaposlen v International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement – Data Processing and Re­ search Centre (IEA­ DPC) v Hamburgu (Nemčija), kjer je bil zadnja tri leta namestnik vodje oddelka za raziskovanje in analize. Za tem se je pre­ selil v Slovenijo, kjer je zaposlen kot izvršni direktor International Educa­ tional Research and Evaluation Institute (INERI). Njegova raziskovalna področja so predvsem naslednja: bralna pismenost, matematična in nara­ voslovna pismenost, državljanska vzgoja, IKT v izobraževanju, metodolo­ gija mednarodnih raziskav znanja in mednarodnih primerjalnih študij ter psihometrija. Plamen V. Mirazchiyski holds a master and PhD degrees in Social Pe­ dagogy and has a Bachelor‘s degree in Pre­ school and Primary Educati­ on. He was employed at the Center for Control and Assessment of the Quality in Education (CKOKO) at the Bulgarian Ministry of Educati­ on, Youth and Science (MEYS) where he was responsible for the psycho­ metrics and analysis of national studies in education. Since 2008 Plamen has been employed at the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement – Data Processing and Research Centre (IEA­ ­ DPC) in Hamburg (Germany), where he was the Deputy Head of the Re­ search and Analysis Unit for three years. Since July 2016, he has become the Chief Executive Officer the International Educational Research and Evaluation Institute (INERI). His main research interests are reading li­ teracy, mathematics and science education, civic and citizenship educati­ on, ICT in education, methodology of large­ scale assessments and psycho­ metrics. Mojca Štraus Mojca Štraus se raziskovalno ukvarja z mednarodnimi in nacionalni­ mi raziskavami različnih področij v izobraževanju in je vodila vrsto raz­ iskovalnih projektov. Trenutno je njena primarna naloga nacionalno ko­ ordinatorstvo raziskave PISA na Pedagoškem inštitutu in predstavljanje Slovenije v Mednarodnem svetu PISA. Njeno raziskovalno delo je poleg raziskovanja šolskega polja usmerjeno v teoretično in praktično obravna­ vo različnih statističnih pristopov pri analizi podatkov mednarodnih raz­ iskav v izobraževanju. Mojca Štraus is a researcher in international and national studies of diffe­ rent areas in education and served as the leader of many research projects at the Educational Research Institute. Currently her main task is the coor­ authors ■ avtorji 251 dination of the PISA study at the national level and representation of Slo­ venia in the PISA Governing Board. In addition to research in education, her research work focuses on statistical approaches to analyzing the data from international large­ scale assessments. Tina Rutar Leban Tina Rutar Leban se raziskovalno ukvarja z evalvacijskimi raziskavami ter z drugimi nacionalnimi in mednarodnimi študijami ter projekti, ki se osredotočajo na predšolsko ter šolsko izobraževanje. Trenutno sodeluje v mednarodnem projektu, ki se osredotoča na analizo ter spodbujanje dife­ renciacije pouka v osnovni šoli. Currently she is participating in an international project, whi­ ch focuses on analyzing and promoting the differentiation of instructions in primary school. Barbara Neža Brečko Dr. Barbara Neža Brečko je zaposlena kot raziskovalka na Fakulteti za družbene vede Univerze v Ljubljani, na Centru za družboslovno informa­ tiko, kjer sodeluje pri nacionalnih in mednarodnih študijah predvsem s področja informacijske družbe in izobraževanja. Njeno interesno področ­ je je metodologija raziskovanja, pri čemer se osredotoča predvsem na razi­ skovanje v izobraževanju, uporabo informacijsko­ komunikacijske tehno­ logije in merjenje digitalnih kompetenc. Barbara Neža Brečko holds a PhD in methodology, she works as a resear­ cher at Faculty of Social Sciences at University of Ljubljana in the Centre for social informatics. She participates in national and international stu­ dies in the field of social informatics and education. Her focus is on the methodology of research, especially in education, and the use of ICT and digital competence. Tanja Potočnik Mesarić Kot doktorantka na Fakulteti za družbene vede se avtorica ukvarja z zgo­ dovinskim razvojem univerze ter z njenim položajem v družbi nekoč in danes. Nasploh je njeno specialistično področje izobraževanje in prehod v zaposlitev, na katerem je objavila tudi več člankov. Zaposlena je na Bioteh­ niški fakulteti Univerze v Ljubljani, članica MEKS in SKZ.
