446 UDK 003.077:373.3.016(091) 1.01 Izvirni znanstveni članek Prejeto: 17. 10. 2012 Natalija Žižić* Zgodovinski razvoj in pomen lepopisa v osnovnem šolstvu Historical development and importance of handwriting in primary education Izvleček Prispevek govori o lepopisu, učnem predme- tu, ki je bil v osnovnih šolah na Slovenskem slabih dvesto let samostojni predmet. Njegov učni smoter je bil učence od prvega razreda naprej seznaniti s posameznimi črkami in nji- hovo vezavo na tak način, ki zagotavlja lepo in čitljivo pisavo. Pri tem sta vsebina in pra- vopis pogosto ostajala ob strani, saj sta bila stvar drugih predmetov jezikovnega pouka. Učenci so se ga učili v vseh razredih osnovne šole, sprva po dve uri na teden, od leta 1929 pa le še v prvih štirih razredih po eno uro na teden. To je že nakazovalo njegov konec – kot samostojni predmet je bil ukinjen leta 1959. Tedaj je postal del predmeta slovenski jezik, v sklopu katerega so pisanje ocenjevali kot obliko izdelka. Uvod Lepopisu se je dolgo časa pripisoval velik pomen. V učnih načrtih za osnovno šolo mu kot učnemu predmetu sledimo pod različnimi imeni (pravpisanje, lepopi- * Natalija Žižić, univ. dipl. zgodovinarka in soc. kulture, sodelavka SŠM, e-pošta: natalijazizic@gmail.com Abstract The article talks about handwriting, which for just under two hundred years was an in- dependent subject in primary schools in Slovenia. The aim of the subject was to teach children from year one onwards first about in- dividual letters and then how to combine them in a way that ensured legible writing. In doing so, the content and spelling were often of mar- ginal importance, since they were taught in other language subjects. Handwriting was ini- tially taught in all the years of primary school: at first two lessons a week, but after 1929 only in the first four years for one lesson a week. This already indicated its end and in 1959 it was abolished as an independent subject, be- coming part of the subject Slovene language, where handwriting was assessed within the overall appearance of a pupil’s work.
