NEW RECORDS OF LEAFHOPPERS AND PLANTHOPPERS OF SLOVENIA (HEMIPTERA: AUCHENORRHYNCHA)

Abstract - As a result of several sampling excursions in the year 2001, 40 species of 3 families are added to the list of the Auchenorrhyncha species of Slovenia. This increases the number of species recorded from Slovenia to 418.

Izvleček - NOVI PODATKI O ŠKRŽATKIH SLOVENIJE (HEMIPTERA: AUCHENORRHYNCHA)
40 vrst iz treh družin, zbranih med več nabiralnimi izleti v letu 2001, je dodanih seznamu škržatkov (Auchenorrhyncha) Slovenije. To povečuje število v Sloveniji znanih vrst na 418.

Introduction
The Auchenorrhyncha fauna of Slovenia is still comparatively poorly known. An important contribution achieved already Gabrijel Seljak and Werner Holzinger, who published a list of the Auchenorrhyncha species of Slovenia (Holzinger & Seljak 2001).

In the framework of an investigation on arboricolous Auchenorrhyncha species of Slovenian trees and shrubs (diploma thesis of Holger Locker, in preparation) 16 sampling excursions (altogether 52 days) were done between 17th April and 15th October 2001. 53 plant species at 71 different locations were investigated by sweep-net sampling. As a result, 40 species were recorded as new for Slovenia. These species are listed below.
