ALLIED MILITARY GOVERNMENT British - United States Zone-Free Territory of Trieste Order No. 121 GRANTING OF AN INDEMNITY FOR ANTI-TUBERCULOSIS PROPHYLAXIS IN FAVOUR OF THE PERSONNEL EMPLOYED IN STATE ANTI-TUBERCULOSIS INSTITUTIONS OR IN ANTI TUBERCULOSIS INSTITUTIONS DEPENDING ON PUBLIC BODIES WHEREAS it is considered advisable to grant an indemnity for anti-tuberculosis prophylaxis in favour of the personnel employed in State cmti-tuberculosis Institutions or in anti-tuberculosis Institutions depending on Public Bodies, in that part of the Free Territory of Trieste administered by the British- United States Forces, NOW, THEREFORE, I, SIR JOHN WINTERTON, KOMG, OB, CBE, Major General, Zone Commander, ORDER: ARTICLE I Section 1. ■— An indemnity for anti-tuberculosis prophylaxis at the rate of 155 Lire daily is hereby granted, regardless of the grade and of the place of service, in favour of all the medical, administrative and subordinate personnel — whether ,,di ruolo“ or not ■— and of the wage-earning personnel and religious assistance personnel employed in anti-tuberculosis Institutions (sanatoria, anti-tuberculosis hospital wards, dispensaries) of the State or depending on Public Bodies, provided they perform their activity in a regular and continuous manner within said Institutions, as well as in favour of the State Administrations personnel — including the personnel of post and telegraph offices („ricevitorie postelegrafoniehe“) — performing continuous activity at the offices and services situated within the above mentioned anti-tuberculosis Institutions. Section 2. — The services mentioned in the foregoing Section may be specified, if necessary, by decisions of the administrative organs of the competent Bodies. ARTICLE II Section 1. — The indemnity for anti-tuberculosis prophylaxis shall be due in full : a) for the days of actual attendance in service ; b) for the days on leave („ferie“) ; c) for the days of marriage-leave („congedo matrimoniale“) and of extraordinary paid leave („congedo straordinario retribuito“). Section 2. — For days of absence owing to sickness or accident (whether paid or indemnified) the indemnity shall be paid in full for the first six months and at a rate reduced to one fourth for the subsequent period. Section 3. — The indemnity referred to in the foregoing Article shall include — up to its amount — any other emoluments paid under the same title. Section 4. — The relative expense shall be borne by those State Administrations and Public Bodies upon which the personnel depend.
