By the means of fostering the \"regional development\" we are trying to eliminate or at least soothe the consequences of the market economy, which are causing regional difference among the countries and representing the reason for some parts of Slovenia being benefical and the others being neglected, with stagnating or even relatively regressing development. Therefore measures of regional policy are oriented into the following directions: fostering of equilibrated polycentric development of cities, formation of new relationships between cities and countryside, creation of the conditions for possible equal free use of the goods of colective importance and acquirement of knowledge by the means of contemporary infrastructure, including reasonable exploitation of natural sources"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Pojem regionalnega razvoja, ki se je izoblikoval in uveljavil po drugi svetovni vojni, postaja v sodobnih državah čedalje pomembnejši. S pospeševanjem \"regionalnega razvoja\" skušamo odpraviti ali vsaj ublažiti posledice tržnega gospodarstva, ki povzročajo regionalne razlike med pokrajinami in zaradi katerih nekateri deli Slovenije uživajo prednosti, drugi pa so zapostavljeni in njihov razvoj stagnira ali celo relativno nazaduje.
