Zanima nas delovanje celotnega sistema, kjer imata vlada in menedžment v podjetjih pomembno kreatorsko vlogo. Dobro zastavljene vladne politike precej pripomorejo k izboljšanju okolja, v katerem podjetja delujejo. Na drugi strani mnenja menedžerjev dajejo določeno napoved o gospodarskih premikih. Slovensko gospodarstvo sedaj deluje v evropskem skupnem trgu, kjer je konkurenca močnejša ter kakovost nujnejša. Za kvalitativno ocenjevanje konkurenčnosti postajo percepcije slovenskih menedžerjev v analizah konkurenčnosti vse bolj nujne.
