The article outlines an introduction to their abilities at this age, recommendation on how to teach them, stages of knowledge they are able to acquire and a detailed presentation of strategy knowledge according to R. Oxford. The second part of the article focuses on the results of a survey on teaching methods and the level to promote different types of strategies.The results affirm some of the established approaches and stimulating strategies, but also deliver further recommendations for future work with children in the field of emotional self-regulation</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Pri poučevanju tujega jezika v drugem izobraževalnem obdobju je treba upoštevati učenčevo razvojno stopnjo. Članek prinaša predstavitev učenčevih zmožnosti v tem starostnem obdobju, priporočila za način poučevanja, tipe znanj, ki naj bi jih učenci usvojili, in podrobnejšo razčlenitev strateškega znanja po tipologiji R. Oxford. V drugem delu so predstavljeni rezultati ankete, ki je bila izvedena med učiteljicami v drugem izobraževalnem obdobju, o načinu poučevanja in stopnji spodbujanja različnih strategij.
