The first part of the selection from Pythian dialogues will examine some important definitions of the Pythias and Sibyls, as well as the differences between the two types of inspired prophetess, while the second will focus on Plutarch's explanation of oracular ambiguity and on the changes of the language in which Pythia pronounced the oraclesV članku so predstavljene osnovne značilnosti Plutarhovih pitijskih dialogov (O pitijinih prerokbah, O zatonu preročišč, O črki E v Delfih). Plutarh govori o delfskem preročisču in preroški zmožnosti kot očividec, zato so pitijski dialogi dober vir za antropološko obravnavo. V prvem delu izbora iz pitijskih dialogov si bomo ogledali nekatere pomembne opredelitve pitij in sibil ter razlike med tipoma navdihnjenih prerokinj.
