With the hastening of the European integration process, the interest for learning the Slovene language and culture among non- Slovenian families is increasing. On one hand, this reflects the improvement of intercultural relations in a nationally mixed area along the eastern Italian border, but on the other hand the phenomenon of culturally and linguistically heterogeneous classes causes concern, as it negatively affects the knowledge and use of the Slovene language. The introduction on the development dynamics of the Slovenian and bilingual schooling in Italy is followed by some data of recently concluded researches and by some specific elaborations of such data"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Mreža šol s slovenskim oziroma slovensko-italijanskim učnim jezikom v Italiji doživlja pomembne spremembe v narodnostni in jezikovni sestavi šolajoče populacije. Ob pospeševanju procesov evropske integracije narašča zanimanje za učenje slovenskega jezika in spoznavanje slovenske kulture pri neslovenskih družinah. Po eni strani gre za izraz izboljšanja medkulturnih odnosov na narodnostno mešanem območju ob vzhodni italijanski meji, po drugi pa vzbuja pojav kulturno in jezikovno heterogenih razredov zaskrbljenost, ker negativno vpliva na znanje in rabo slovenščine.
