The technology is composed of three main steps: isolation of polysaccharide antigenes from the most pathogenic serotypes, expression of recombinant or naive protein carrier and chemically or enzymaticaly driven conjugation. The new technology represents more safe and efficacious bioproduction of vaccines used in infants, adolescents or mature population"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"V zadnjem desetletju so bila razvita s pomočjo sodobnih biotehnoloških metod tri konjugirana cepiva proti okužbam, ki jih povzroča bakterija Streptococcus pneumoniae. Tehnologija razvoja zajema tri bistvene faze: osamitev površinskih polisaharidnih antigenov iz najbolj patogenih serotipov bakterije, izražanje rekombinantnega proteinskega nosilca oziroma alternativno osamitev proteinskega nosilca iz drugih bakterijskih virov in kemijsko ali encimsko pripetje polisaharida na proteinsko ogrodje.
