Almost 4 months after the vaccination, an abscess developed at the site of the injection. Mildly itching, circular tooval macular lesions appeared first surrounding the abscess, then spread over the entire body. The rash was successfully treated with topical emollients and mometasone furoate ointment. The infant displayed white dermographism, and his mother had a history of atopic dermatitis.
