Schools have acknowledged this special role. It has become impossible to imagine the work without an active role of school librarian and a well-organized school library. This is especially relevant in planning, organization and execution of teaching the talented students. This fact is supported with the results of recent analyses of the National Education Institute of the Republic of Slovenia concerning the identification and teaching of the talented in primary school. The paper also presents the Quality indicators in identification and teaching of talented students in primary school which had been, jointly with those for the secondary school, formed already in 2011. Currently, over 70 primary schools are taking place in the formation process of these indicators. The school librarian also has an important role in these indicators</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">V prispevku je utemeljen pomen kakovostnega in stalnega sodelovanja šolskega knjižničarja v procesu odkrivanja nadarjenih in vzgojno-izobraževalnega dela z njimi. Njegovo posebno vlogo in pomen sta izpostavila tako Koncept odkrivanja in vzgojno-izobraževalnegadela z nadarjenimi v OŠ, kakor tudi Koncept vzgojno-izobraževalnega dela z nadarjenimi v srednji šoli. Šole ta pomen prepoznavajo in si brez dejavne vloge šolskega knjižničarja in sodobno organizirane in delujoče šolske knjižnice niti ne morejo več predstavljati delovanja slovenske šole. To še posebej velja tudi za načrtovanje in organizacijo ter neposredno izvajanje vzgojno-izobraževalnega dela z nadarjenimi, kar je pokazano tudi na podlagi rezultatov zadnjih analiz Zavoda RS za šolstvo o uresničevanju konceptov odkrivanja in dela z nadarjenimi v osnovni šoli. Predstavljeni so tudi Kazalniki kakovosti za odkrivanje in vzgojno-izobraževalno delo z nadarjenimi učenci v osnovni šoli, ki so prirejeni na podlagi srednješolskih, ki so bili skupaj s srednjimi šolami oblikovani že leta 2011. V procesu oblikovanja osnovnošolskih kazalnikov kakovosti trenutno sodeluje že več kot 70 osnovnih šol.
