Sycamore (Acer pseudoplatanus L.), Norway maple (Acer platanoides L.), common ash (Fraxinus excelsior L.), wild cherry (Prunus avium L.) and black alder (Alnus glutinosa (L.) Gaertn.) were includedin the research. Stem analyses were carried out for all analysed treesand on all log fronts the extent of discoloured wood or rot was measured.Moreover, all parts of usable timber were classified into timber quality classes. Analyses were carried out on different site units, mainly on those, where the analysed tree species play a more important role. Using logistic regression the influence of age, dbh and other tree traits or site characteristics on discoloured wood and rot was established. On the basis of tree age and its timber value the culmination of tree value increment was ascertained"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"V prispevku želimo ugotoviti povezave med debelino, starostjo in kakovostjo oziroma vrednostjo lesa nekaterih naših drevesnih vrst, ki jih uvrščamo v skupino plemenitih listavcev. V raziskavo smo zajeli gorski javor (Acer pseudoplatanus L.), ostrolistni javor (Acer platanoides L.), veliki jesen (Fraxinus excelsior L.), divjo češnjo (Prunus avium L.) in črno jelšo (Alnus glutinosa (L.) Gaertn.). Pri vseh analiziranih osebkih smo izvedli debelne analize, na čelih sortimentov smo izmerili obseg diskoloriranega lesa oziroma trohnobe. Vse kose debeljadi smo uvrstili v kakovostne razrede. Analize smo izvedli na različnih rastiščnih enotah, zlasti na tistih, ki so z vidika obravnavanih vrst najpomembnejše. S pomočjo logistične regresije smo ugotavljali vpliv starosti, prsnega premera in drugih znakov drevesa oziroma karakteristik rastišča na pojav diskoloracije ali trohnobe v deblu.
