Decisions by which the Court recognized the direct horizontal effect of the provisions of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights, decided on the scope of the Charter (as well as directives) and broadly interpreted the concept of worker in terms of EU law are analyzed. From the point of view of the impact on the scope of protection, recent decisions in preliminary ruling procedures regarding the directive on working time and the transfer of a company, which are important for the interpretation of Slovenian labor legislation in this field, are discussed"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"V prispevku je obravnavan vpliv novejših odločitev Sodišča EU na uveljavljanje in obseg delovnopravnega varstva. Analizirane so odločitve, s katerimi je Sodišče priznalo neposredni horizontalni učinek določbam Listine EU o temeljnih pravicah, odločalo o področju uporabe Listine (in tudi direktiv) ter široko razlagalo pojem delavca v smislu prava EU.
