While many countries have had great success with its implementation, there are still many misconceptions about its realistic potentials and physical bacground. In the article we discuss the bascis of wind physics (aerodynamics) and wind site evaluation on the example of Kredarica micro wind turbine</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Vetrna energija je v zadnjem času zaradi želje po zagotavljanju energije iz obnovljivih virov vse bolj v ospredju, a je z njo žal povezanih tudi veliko zmot. V članku so predstavljene osnove fizike vetra in vetrnic ter poenostavljen model izračuna razpoložljive vetrne energije na osnovi splošno dostopnih meteoroloških podatkov.
