A leak occured during operation of a pipeline. Visual inspection detected a leak near butt weld. Investigation of the cut off piece from pipeline took place on Institute of metals and technology which included visual examination, chemical analysis, tensile tests, microstrustural analysis and corrosion products analysis. Med pretakanjem tekočine je prišlo do puščanja cevovoda. Pri vizualnem pregledu je bila odkrita netesnost ob sočelnem zvaru cevovoda. Preiskave izrezanega dela cevovoda na Inštitutu za kovinske materiale in tehnologije so obsegale vizualni pregled, kemično analizo, natezni preizkus osnovnega materiala in zavarjenega spoja, mikrostrukture preiskave ter kemisko analizo korozijskih produktov.
