According to the Eurocode, the following relevant steps of structural fire design analysis should be considered: (i) selection of the relevant design fire scenarios and determination of the corresponding design fires, (ii) calculation of the temperature evolution in the structural members, and (iii) calculation of the mechanical behaviour of the structure exposed to fire. The application of the advanced calculation method is presented on the example of the fire resistance assessment of the railway bridge over Glinščica, which was carried out in cooperation with the design office KO-BIRO, Ltd. The railway bridge is designed as a prestressed concrete structure. For the second and third steps of the structural fire design analysis, self-developed mathematical models and the related computer software HEATKO and NFIRA were used. The mentioned software was developed within the research projects at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodesy, University of Ljubljana</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">V članku predstavimo napredno računsko metodo za oceno požarne odpornosti betonskih konstrukcij. Metoda, skladna z Evrokodi, vključuje naslednje relevantne korake projektne požarne analize: (i) izbiro za projektiranje merodajnih požarnih scenarijev in določitev ustreznih projektnih potekov požarov, (ii) izračun razvoja temperaturnega polja konstrukcijskih elementov in (iii) izračun mehanskega obnašanja konstrukcije, izpostavljene požaru. Uporabo napredne računske metode prikažemo na primeru ocene požarne odpornosti železniškega mostu čez Glinščico, ki smo jo izdelali za projektanta KO-BIRO, d. o. o. Most bo izveden kot prednapeta betonska konstrukcija.
