It looks at the topics associated and represented with unemployment in each government's online news releases and the main subject of officially released photos. This paper uses the concept of online public diplomacy as the \"bridge concept\" which targets foreign publics, but at the same time reaching domestic publics as \"side effect\". The content and the formal structure of the Croatian and Serbian Governments' home pages were empirically analysed by looking at the frames in news stories on unemployment, but also by comparing how the aforementioned states harnessed \"online communication tools\" in their effort to reach audiences regarding specific policies. We focus on how both countries managed online public diplomacy during the peak of the economic crisis from January 2009 to December 2014"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Članek analizira, kako javni diplomaciji dveh držav držav Zahodnega Balkana, Hrvaške in Srbije, predstavljata oz. uokvirjata vprašanje brezposelnosti v javnosti. Avtorica, opirajoča se na teorijo uokvirjanja (framing theory), tako analizira sporočila za javnost, objavljena na spletnih straneh vlad obeh držav, in uradne vladne fotografije, ki se nanašajo na vprašanje brezposelnosti. Koncept javne diplomacije, kot se izraža na vladnih spletnih straneh, je v članku prikazan kot premostitveni koncept (bridge concept), saj je namenjen tuji javnosti, hkrati pa kot stranski produkt vpliva tudi na domačo javnost. Vsebina in struktura spletnih strani hrvaške in srbske vlade sta bili empirično analizirani tudi primerjalno z vidika načina, s katerim sta obe vladi uporabili t. i. nove tehnologije, da bi dosegli ciljno publiko glede konkretnih politik.
