The focus of the research was on the wider benefits of liberal adult education. The main research question was what are the benefits of liberal adult education on everyday life of the participants. The contention of the research was that the benefits of the above mentioned education are numerous. Quantitative and qualitative methods were applied, this article focuses on qualitative aspects. 8 interviews were conducted with the adult participants in liberal adult education from different Slovene regions. All interviewees reported about numerous benefits which are the result of their participation in liberal adult education</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">V članku so predstavljeni rezultati kvalitativne raziskave, ki je bila opravljena v Sloveniji v raziskavi Bell. V projektu Bell smo raziskovali učinke neformalnega izobraževanja, izhajali smo iz predpostavke, da ima neformalno izobraževanje številne pozitivne učinke. V raziskavi se je predpostavka potrdila. Vsi intervjuvanci in intervjuvanke so v intervjujih omenjali številne pozitivne učinke kot posledico njihove udeležbe v neformalnem izobraževanju. Rezultati intervjujev potrjujejo rezultate statistične analize, saj so bili tako pri kvalitativni in kvantitativni analizi najpogostejši učinki razširjene socialne mreže, osebna učinkovitost (zlasti okrepitev samozavesti), duševno zdravje, kompetence (zlasti kompetence IKT in splošno znanje) in sprememba izobraževalne izkušnje (zlasti večja motivacija za učenje).
