Potentiokinetic polarization curves indicated that pitting potentials (Epit) decrease linearly with the log of chloride concentration. The rate of pit nucleation (1/ti), and the rate of pits growth increases with increasing concentration of Cl- ions. Initiation of pitting attack could be ascribed to the adsorption of Cl- ions on the oxide surface. Adsorption of Cl-ions is physisorption and follow the Langmuir isotherm with ?adsG0 = -21.1 kJ/mol</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-WQTP6RWZ"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-WQTP6RWZ" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-WQTP6RWZ/7d6ee460-ad13-430d-8e2a-8986de6bdead/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Slovensko kemijsko društvo</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-WQTP6RWZ/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-WQTP6RWZ" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
