Some creative teams even refer to their productions as storytelling, narration or similar. In theatre studies, however, there is no common definition for the characteristics of such a staging. The contribution deals with storytelling in the recent theatre productions of Jernej Lorenci, with a detailed look at The Tales of Our Childhood (2022). The article aims to identify what these productions have in common and consider what has made storytelling once again relevant today. By analysing this case, the article points out the characteristics of the staging text and other staging elements while concentrating on the performance’s language and speech features, as well as the traits of effective storytelling onstage"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"V sodobnem slovenskem gledališču so predstave, v katerih prevladuje pripovedovanje, vse bolj po-goste. Nekatere ustvarjalne ekipe svoje uprizoritve same poimenujejo kot pripovedovalne, pripovedne ali kaj podobnega. V teatrološki vedi pa še ni izdelana opredelitev, kaj je za tak način ugledališčenja značilno. V prispevku se osredotočamo na pripovedovanje v predstavah zadnjih let režiserja Jerne-ja Lorencija, podrobneje analiziramo Pravljice našega otroštva (2022). Poskušamo zaključiti, kaj je skupno vsem obravnavanim predstavam, ter razmišljamo, zakaj je danes pripovedovanje zgodb po-novno aktualno.
