Over the last decades of the 20th century, pedagogical theory and practice had lost their balance in terms of a comprehensive conception of man. In the forefront were different psychological, sociological, biological and politological findings and theories. Man's comprehensive experience of himself, other people and nature as well as educational learning of skills for coexistence and personal growth were suppressed by the tendency to acquire only rational education. In the face of such a reduction, pedagogy had lost its educational power and reputation in society. In this sense, the sport teacher is also losing their identity of an educator of the human personality and assumes the role of a coach of a specific sport skill. The solution to the problem is to have a comprehensive perception of man in their physical, mental, spiritual, co-existential, developmental and existential dimensions, as well as to consider all needs, abilities and defence mechanisms in each of these dimensions. The analysis of Pediček's scientific, publicistic and practical pedagogical work, as well as his personal life, shows that his fundamental aspiration was a comprehensive anthropological pedagogy. He developed this field at scientific and practical levels in his expert work over half a century, up until his last breath. He demonstrated a comprehensive anthropological direction in the field of sports pedagogy</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">V prvem delu prispevka je utemeljena aktualnost navidezno tavtološkega pojma antropološka pedagogika in Pedičkovega življenjskega prizadevanja zanjo. Prav posebej je celostno antropološko usmeritev pokazal na področju športne pedagogike</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-WI2Q3PKO"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-WI2Q3PKO" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-WI2Q3PKO/932b4f2d-87fe-4a3f-b0e2-667260e7c494/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Univerza v Ljubljani, Fakulteta za šport</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-WI2Q3PKO/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-WI2Q3PKO" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
