A partial insight into teaching practice offer examples presented at conferences, but the state-of-art analysis that would try to establish how teachers are actually using ICT in foreign language instruction are rare. To fill this research gap, we conducted a quantitative non-experimental study at the primary and secondary schools in Slovenia. This paper presents a summary of the results of the survey in the secondary school. The main findings are as follows: almost all teachers use ICT in their instruction at least occasionally, most teachers have access to the infrastructure needed for ICT supported foreign language instruction, although it seems that the existing infrastructure doesn%t fulfill the needs of the foreign language teacher in full. The teachers estimate their competency to teach with ICT only as satisfactory what indicates a need for further professional development"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"V začetku 90-tih let prejšnjega stoletja so slovenski učitelji inovatorji v pouk tujih jezikov začeli uvajati računalnik in internet. Delni vpogled v razvoj novih pristopov s podporo tehnologije omogočajo na konferencah predstavljeni primeri iz prakse, redke pa so pregledne raziskave, s katerimi bi ugotavljali, kako učitelji tujih jezikov IKT pri pouku dejansko uporabljajo. Da bi zapolnili to raziskovalno vrzel, smo izvedli kvantitativno neeksperimentalno raziskavo, v katero smo vključili učitelje tujih jezikov na osnovnih in srednjih šolah v Sloveniji. V prispevku predstavljamo povzetek rezultatov raziskave v srednjih šolah. Glavne ugotovitve so naslednje: skoraj vsi učitelji IKT vsaj občasno uporabljajo pri pouku, večina učiteljev ima do IKT pozitiven odnos, infrastruktura za poučevanje z IKT jim je na voljo, čeprav kaže, da obstoječa infrastruktura potrebam učitelja tujega jezika ne odgovarja v celoti.
