He develops the thesis about globalization as a tension between the universal and the partial, the central role being played by communication as participation and gift. Today globalization extends to all layers of human activity and is not just an economic process. The second part of the article presents a picture of the world paradoxically divided into the rich and poor, which also made Hans Küng think about a world ethos. With the aid of a historical overview of some ethical solutions in various historical periods, the globalization process is shows as a fusion of different world views present since man has been shaping history. In the Catholic Church as a global church, for half a century the question of globalization has been one of the topics to which the popes have been reacting in social encyclicals. Under the present pope the understanding of globalization has been approaching the view indicated in the beginning: globalization as a communication between the universal and the particular. In the last part of the article some challenges to Slovenia are brought out, especially a proposal of a project called "global solidarity of exchange of gifts". This is an idea to introduce some kind of community service for men and women, who would want to dedicate a part of their youth to the poorest parts of the world and of humanity. The answer to the above question whether a world ethos is a solution to globalization is: partially yes, but not completely. With globalization one must consider its complexity and direct it with differents means at different levels</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">V članku avtor najprej predstavi različnost razumevanja pojma globalizacija. Pri globalizaciji moramo upoštevati njeno kompleksnost in jo tudi temu ustrezno usmerjati na različnih nivojih z različnimi sredstvi</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-W41RGFYT"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-W41RGFYT" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-W41RGFYT/41bb0482-76d9-4b6b-9128-0a582233bc4c/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Univerza v Ljubljani, Teološka fakulteta</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-W41RGFYT/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-W41RGFYT" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
