We used cognitive mapping to survey 25 inhabitants of Izola municipality. 68% of surveyed people perceive the bypass as the border between rural and urban areas. This opinion matches the municipality%s long-term spatial plan. Based on these findings and on recognized land use conflicts, we propose a possible border between rural and urban areas. S spoznavnimi zemljevidi smo anketirali 25 prebivalcev občine. 68 % vprašanih je mejo med mestom in podeželjem zarisalo po obvoznici, kar se ujema z načrtovano širitvijo poselitve mesta Izola.
