First, the author speaks about the OIC (Organization of the Islamic Conference), which has 57 members states and covers the majority of Muslim people. Due to great internal differences the OIC is politically, economically etc. rather inefficient, yet it is unanimous is its endavours to promote islam. Also other governmental and non-governmental, charity and pious international islamic organisation are very active in promoting islam, even to such an extent as to secretly support Islamists of the revolutionary type and to openly support the neo-fundamentalistic Islamists. The second part of the article shows that modern values represent the main problem for the Islamists, irrespective of whether they concern the modern, democratic and national state or putting the individual and his rights above the group rights or the divine rights"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Razprava pokaže nekatere težave, s katerimi se srečuje sodobni islam. Najprej je govor o Organizaciji islamske konference, ki jo sestavlja 57 držav in pokriva večino islamskega življa. Zaradi velikih različnosti je ta organizacija v glavnem politično, ekonomsko in dr. neučinkovita, si pa složno prizadeva za širjenje islama. Tudi druge vladne in nevladne, dobrodelne in pobožnostne svetovno razširjene islamske organizacije so močno aktivne pri širjenju islama. Tudi do te mere, da skrivoma podpirajo islamiste revolucionarnega tipa in javno neofundamentalistične islamiste.
