Quantitative (content analysis) and qualitative (critical discourse analysis) analyses of interviews with journalists from the main Slovenian media establishments showed that more than one-third of the interviewees cannot define hate speech,while the others can distinguish hate speech and offensive speech. The research also showed that the interviewees have an extremely negative view of hate speech and largely connect it with hostility and violence"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Ker v obstoječi mednarodni dostopni literaturi ne obstaja študija, ki bi razkrila, kako novinarji opredeljujejo in razumejo sovražni govor ter ga razlikujejo od napadalnega govora, skuša ta raziskava vsaj delno zapolniti raziskovalno vrzel. Intervjuji z novinarji osrednjih slovenskih medijev so s kvantitativno (analiza besedil) in kvalitativno analizo (kritična diskurzivna analiza) pokazali, da več kot tretjina intervjuvancev ne zna opredeliti sovražnega govora, preostali dve tretjini pa razlikujeta med konceptoma sovražnega in napadalnega govora.
