The purpose of this article is to explore how this issue was resolved by the best foreign universities. We analyzed how many of the 100 best foreign universities (according to the criteria of Higher Education World University Rankings, QS World University Rankings and the Shanghai Institute Academic Ranking of World Universities) have organized physical education as a compulsory component of their study programs. We found out that among them, only five require physical education as a compulsory condition for the completion of the study. This is not much, but all five universities (most famous among them are Stanford University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)) not only ranks among the top 100, but even among the top 20 universities in the world"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Slovenske fakultete so se organiziranja športne vzgoje po bolonjski prenovi lotile zelo različno, namen tega članka pa je raziskati, kako se s tem vprašanjem soočajo najboljše tuje univerze. Analizirali smo, koliko izmed 100 najboljših tujih univerz (po kriterijih Higher Education World University Rankings, QS World University Rankings in Shanghai Institute Academic Ranking of World Universities) ima športno vzgojo organizirano kot obvezno sestavino svojih študijskih programov. Ugotovili smo, da je med njimi le pet takšnih, ki zahtevajo športno vzgojo kot obvezni pogoj za dokončanje študija.
