Screen includes the glass substrate and densely packed layer of the few microns large phosphor particles, coated by the aluminum film. In the article we will present the deposition methods of phosphor layer, the resolution and the light efficiency of the screen as well as the parameters which influence these two basic screen properties. We will also compare the conventional powder screens and newly developed thin film screens</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Optično plast na notranji čelni ploskvi katodne elektronke, ki kinetično energijo elektronov pretvarja v vidno svetlobo, imenujemo zaslon. Zaslon tvorijo steklena podlaga in gosto zložena plast nekaj mikrometrov velikih delcev luminiscentne snovi, prekrita z zvezno plastjo aluminija. V prispevku bodo predstavljene metode nanašanja luminiscentne plasti in osnovne lastnosti zaslonov, kot sta ločljivost in svetlobni izkoristek ter parametri, ki vplivajo na ti dve lastnosti.
