Their main object was to gradually limit the managerial power of the employer who, initially, was entirely free in organizing his business and determining working conditions, including working time. In relation to historical background of working time regulation, different approaches to the limitation of working time can be established. The "human rights" perspective is characteristic for the international regulation of working time. In the second part the paper discusses the definition of working time and unclear and inconsistent use of the terms "turn of duty" and time spent "on call" in the Slovenian legal order and practice</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Začetki delovnega prava so tesno povezani s sprejemom prvih norm o vprašanjih delovnega časa. Njihov glavni cilj je bil postopno omejiti direkcijsko moč delodajalca, ki je bil sprva popolnoma svoboden pri organiziranju podjetja in določanju delovnih pogojev, vključno z delovnim časom. V zvezi z zgodovinskim ozadjem urejanja delovnega časa so pomembni različni pristopi k omejevanju delovnega časa. V mednarodni ureditvi je omejevanje delovnega časa opredeljeno kot človekova pravica.
