It is an example of the Scandinavian model, which pays a lot of attention to the gender equality, to the promotion of active fatherhood, and to more equal distribution of familial responsibilities between both parents, and, consequently, to the promotion of equal opportunities of women and men on the labour market, in the professional life. In Norway, the paternity leave was introduced in 1977 and the father's quota of the parental leave in 1993. Since then, the regulation has been amended several times; however, practical experience shows that fathers use these leave and take part in caring for the children. The social partners and collective agreements have an important role in this area as well, adding rights to the legal regulation. The Norwegian solutions could be the source of possible ideas for the development of legal regulation in this area in Slovenia, taking into account, of course, the cultural, social, economic, and other characteristics of our society and legal tradition"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Prispevek obravnava ureditev starševskega dopusta na Norveškem. Gre za primer skandinavskega modela, ki veliko pozornosti namenja enakosti spolov, spodbujanju aktivnega očetovstva in bolj enakomerni porazdelitvi družinskih obveznosti med oba starša, s tem pa spodbuja tudi bolj izenačene možnosti žensk in moških na trgu dela, v poklicnem življenju. Na Norveškem so očetovski dopust uvedli leta 1977, očetovsko kvoto starševskega dopusta pa leta 1993. Od tedaj se je ureditev večkrat spreminjala, izkušnje pa kažejo, da očetje izrabljajo te dopuste in se vključujejo v skrb in nego otrok. Pomembno vlogo na tem področju imajo tudi socialni partnerji in kolektivne pogodbe, ki dodajajo pravice zakonski ureditvi.
