The results show a marked decline in species diversity, particularly in the herb and shrub layers, as well as a retreat of Scots pine, which is being replaced by beech, sessile oak, sweet chestnut, and Norway spruce. Moss cover has decreased sharply, while bracken and bilberry have become even more dominant. Phytoindication reveals reduced light availability in stands, increased nutrient levels, and lower soil acidity as a result of the abandonment of litter raking and the accumulation of deciduous leaf litter. The analysis indicates that secondary succession is progressing from former pioneer pine stands through more or less long-lasting stages of mixed oak–chestnut forests toward acidophilous beech forests, which have already established themselves on more favourable sites. Golovec is now characterized primarily by transitional and variably advanced successional stages of mixed forests</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Raziskava obravnava spremembe kisloljubnih gozdov rdečega bora na Golovcu v obdobju 1942–2024 na podlagi ponovitve fitocenoloških popisov prof. Gabrijela Tomažiča in dodatnih sodobnih popisov. Golovec tako danes zaznamujejo predvsem prehodni in različno napredovali sukcesijski stadiji mešanih gozdov</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-USHT9X8I"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-USHT9X8I" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-USHT9X8I/65897a35-7f7d-4fae-b5bc-65b598fdabfc/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Gozdarski inštitut Slovenije</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-USHT9X8I/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-USHT9X8I" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
