Opisan je proces varjenja z daljšim prostim koncem žice, proces varjenja z rotirajočim prehajanjem materiala in z daljšim oblokom, varjenje z več elektrodnimi glavami, varjenje z večžično elektrodo, varjenje z dodatnim kovinskim prahom in varjenje z dodatnim hlajenjem oplaščene elektrode pri ročnem varjenju. Pri vseh postopkih se poveča talilni učinek oz. količina pretaljenega dodajnega materiala v časovni enoti. Zajeti so postopki varjenja: varjenje pod praškom, varjenje v zaščitnih plinih in ročno obločno varjenje z oplaščeno elektrodo.
