Socially responsible behaviour is actually in a company''s self interest. Many institutional investors pay attention to corporate social behaviour and thus influence the market for a company''s stock. The empirical results of our studies regarding the strategic behaviour of managers in Slovenia are also presented in the paper. The results suggest that managers have stable values that influence the strategic objectives of companies. The most important strategic objective is growth and development of a company</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Prispevek utemeljuje potrebo po tem, da menedžerji sprejemajo odločitve, ki niso le v interesu lastnikov, temveč so tudi v interesu drugih udeležencev. Pravzaprav je družbeno odgovorno ravnanje pomembno za interese podjetja. Treba je namreč upoštevati, da mnogi institucionalni investitorji namenjajo posebno pozornost družbeno odgovornemu ravnanju podjetij, ki tako vpliva na ceno delnic. V prispevku navajamo tudi nekatere empirične rezultate raziskav o obnašanju menedžerjev v Sloveniji, ki smo jih izvedli v zadnjih letih. Rezultati kažejo, da imajo menedžerji v Sloveniji relativno stabilne vrednote, ki se odražajo tudi v strateških ciljih podjetij.
