The sample of subjects consisted of ten patients with mental illness from Psychiatric Clinic Rudnik. Average age of the patients was 47.1 years (SD = 12.3). The selected morphological parameters (body weight, skin fold of the upper arm and belly) and aerobic capability (walking test to 2000 m) were measured at the beginning and at the end of two month training. For defining the patients' well-being the questionnaire was used. The results were analyzed with SPSS program, with the test for dependent samples. The results show that after two-month of nordic walking training the upper arm skin fold decreased and both aerobic capability and general well-being of the patients improved</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">V raziskavi smo želeli ugotoviti, kakšen je vpliv dvomesečne vadbe nordijske hoje na nekatere morfološke značilnosti, aerobne sposobnosti ter počutje duševnih bolnikov. V raziskavo je bilo zajetih 10 pacientov psihiatrične ordinacije Rudnik, katerih povprečna starost je bila 47,1 let (SD = 12,3). Izbrane morfološke značilnosti (telesna masa, kožna guba nadlahti in trebuha) in aerobne sposobnosti (test hoje na 2000 m) so bile izmerjene pred dvomesečno vadbo in po njej. Z anketnim vprašalnikom smo ugotavljali, ali se je počutje bolnikov po dvomesečni vadbi izboljšalo. Rezultate smo analizirali s programom SPSS, in sicer s T-testom za odvisne vzorce.
