This article opens with contextualization of Guatemala and then proceeds with an ethnographical reflection from an abandoned plantation from the east of the country. This serves as an example as how to think power in extreme forms of the neoliberal offensive of capital. The second part of the article then focuses on possible ways out, primarly upon the aestetic-political practices of the relatives of the dissapeared (desaparecidos) during the long standing military conflict in the country. A case study concerns HIJOS as a meeting place where the children of the disappeared have unified their personal histories into a narrative of a whole generation of social rebels. Through this they gradually trasformed themselves into collective able of political life, the public reading of reality and thinking the world in terms of their own image</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">V prispevku je najprej predstavljen kontekst Gvatemale, v katerega je nadalje umeščena etnografska refleksija iz opuščenega plantažnega posestva na vzhodu dežele. Na ta način so se postopno preoblikovali v kolektiv, sposoben političnega življenja, javnega branja realnosti in snovanja sveta po svoji podobi</dc:description><edm:type>TEXT</edm:type><dc:type xml:lang="sl">znanstveno časopisje</dc:type><dc:type xml:lang="en">journals</dc:type><dc:type rdf:resource="http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q361785" /></edm:ProvidedCHO><ore:Aggregation rdf:about="http://www.dlib.si/?URN=URN:NBN:SI:doc-TW8JIIQK"><edm:aggregatedCHO rdf:resource="URN:NBN:SI:doc-TW8JIIQK" /><edm:isShownBy rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/stream/URN:NBN:SI:doc-TW8JIIQK/5e2d1f8d-6a5a-480c-8f41-163d0f1bdb69/PDF" /><edm:rights rdf:resource="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/" /><edm:provider>Slovenian National E-content Aggregator</edm:provider><edm:intermediateProvider xml:lang="en">National and University Library of Slovenia</edm:intermediateProvider><edm:dataProvider xml:lang="sl">Študentska založba</edm:dataProvider><edm:object rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/streamdb/URN:NBN:SI:doc-TW8JIIQK/maxi/edm" /><edm:isShownAt rdf:resource="http://www.dlib.si/details/URN:NBN:SI:doc-TW8JIIQK" /></ore:Aggregation></rdf:RDF>
