In the game and the training process of ice hockey, it allows us to perform optimal and technically correct movement tasks on and off the ice surface. Due to the lack of scientific literature on ice hockey, we have focused on research that describes the general laws of stretching exercises and explores the topic of flexibility development in sports that are similar to ice hockey in terms of movement structure. The development of flexibility can help with preventing injuries. It is important that the various methods of flexibility development are properly placed in the training process, only this way they can have a positive impact on the performance of the exercise tasks. The summary of the article states that, despite some conflicting opinions and evidence, the development of flexibility has a positive effect on the athlete's overall movement performance. It is not good to perform static or PNF stretching exercises before rapid and explosive movements as they reduce the efficiency of the movement performed. Therefore, it would only be reasonable to perform dynamic stretching exercises before practicing ice hockey. In order to develop mobility and movement amplitude, it would be fitting to use static or PNF stretching exercises after the workout is completed</dc:description><dc:description xml:lang="sl">Gibljivost je gibalna sposobnost, ki nam omogoča izvesti gib z maksimalno amplitudo v sklepu.
