The NAP identifies both labour exploitation (e.g. precarious work and discrimination) and adverse impacts on the environment as the main risks of human rights violations in business processes in Slovenia. As of 2019, 30 companies have signed a voluntary Commitment to Respect Human Rights in Business Operations based on the NAP. As part of the Commitment, companies are required to implement and report on the implementation of due diligence on human rights and environmental impacts in their value chains three years after signing. For the third year in a row, we are analysis the annual reports of 16 companies that signed the Commitment between 2019 and 2020. These companies employ more than 40 thousand people and operate in more than 20 countries. The analysis assesses progress in reporting on the implementation the commitment that has been observed over the past three years, as well as the adequacy of Voluntary Commitment as the right approach in achieving human rights and environmental objectives in companies’ value chains"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"V Sloveniji smo leta 2018 sprejeli Nacionalni akcijski načrt za spoštovanje človekovih pravic v gospodarstvu (v nadaljevanju NAN). NAN kot največja tveganja za kršitve človekovih pravic v gospodarskih procesih v Sloveniji navaja tako izkoriščanje delovne sile (npr. prekarno delo in diskriminacija), kot tudi škodljive vplive na okolje. Od leta 2019 je na podlagi NAN 30 podjetij podpisalo prostovoljno Zavezo k spoštovanju človekovih pravic pri poslovanju. Znotraj nje morajo podjetja po treh letih od podpisa izvajati in poročati o izvajanju skrbnega pregleda o vplivih na človekove pravice in okolje v svojih vrednostnih verigah. Zdaj že tretja analiza letnih poročil 16 podjetij, ki so zavezo podpisala leta 2019 in 2020. Ta podjetja zaposluje več kot 40 tisoč ljudi in deluje v več kot 20 državah.
