The Cambridge School is predominantly focused on author and its intentions, and less on reader or interpreter of political ideas. The article calls for dialogical approach to interpretation of political ideas. The issue of discursive formations and non-textual factors in determining of meanings in the history of political ideas is emphasised. The article reveals genealogies, points of agreements and disagreements of the Cambridge School and other methodological approaches situated in a wider, including Slovenian, context of social and political theories"},{"@xml:lang":"sl","#text":"Članek prinaša pregled razvoja sodobne metodološke misli zgodovine političnih idej od kanonskega pristopa preko cambriške šole do poststrukturalističnih metodologij. Ugotavlja, da se cambriška šola v metodološkem smislu osredotoča predvsem na avtorja in njegove namene, manj pa na bralca oziroma interpreta političnih idej. Članek zagovarja dialoški pristop k proučevanju političnih idej, ki razume oblikovanje pomena politične ideje kot dialog med avtorjem in interpretom. V metodologijo proučevanja političnih idej vpeljuje vprašanje diskurzivnih formacij in nebesedilnih dejavnikov za pomen političnih idej.
